Master yourself through these 4 hidden gems in your daily huddle.

"If each of us would only sweep our own doorstep, the whole World would be clean." - Goethe

If you have started on your daily huddles, here are some hidden gems that can help you improve your personal productivity and set your day up. Use this tool with the intention of self-mastery instead of simply going through the motions. Improving by 1% a day will give you accelerated growth over a year with the power of compound interest, and not to mention, the value also gets multiplied at a team level.

TRANSCRIPT:

Hi! Today I want to share with you the four hidden gems in a daily huddle.

One, do you struggle to find good things to appreciate and be thankful for? Are you always using the weather as good news? Try to use this as an opportunity to practice gratitude: it will help set your day up. And learn to appreciate or recognise your coworkers' efforts, because lack of recognition ranks in the top-three reasons why employees leave. Remember to be genuine and do not use this as a manipulation tool.

Two, do you rattle off a list of things that have happened or blurt out your to-do list? Identify what's really important and a priority, instead of listing a bunch of activities that might not move you towards your goal. Think about the domino effect. It's probably something that you most need to do and/or are avoiding doing.

Three, do you give a generic "Stuck" like the economic conditions, a legal case, or a client complaint? Be as specific as possible about what you're really stuck with. Sometimes, it's the ambiguity that's getting you stuck: think about what specifically about the legal case that you need to do that you are stuck at. If you know you're stuck, you might just know who to ask for help from. Be honest with yourself and get clear on the issue. That clarity will energise you and help you get unstuck.

Four, if you're uncomfortable sharing how you're stuck or asking for help, this is a great opportunity to practice your vulnerability muscle. You will be surprised to find out how supportive everyone is. If you have not been stuck for a long period of time, then ask yourself: do I need to take on more challenges? Because let's face it: no stuck means no growth.

So, master yourself daily through these hidden gems
